Hello Winter and Weekly Menu 10/11 - 10/17

Apparently Mother Nature turned the wrong page on her calendar & thinks its late November not early October.

The garden is officially done for the year.
So, that's got us all thinking of warming soups here in Minneapolis & the Minneapolis Farmer's Market is hosting a Soup Recipe Contest. You can check out all the recipes here & if your so inclined vote for my Crock Pot White Bean & Spinach or Creamy Chicken Wild Rice Soup.

On to Menu Planning Monday...

Chai brined pork chops with squash & brussel sprouts

Arugula Salad with squash & peppers & fried goat cheese

Baby Back Ribs with a leek & potato gratin

Open-faced Meatball Sandwiches

3rd Anniversary dinner at La Belle Vie

Then we are headed up to the North Shore to enjoy the fall colors or perhaps the snow they way things are going this year.

  9. Openfaced Meatball Sandwiches sound delicious. I know our teen would love them.
    Now that we're part of the many unemployed I'm always looking for economic and healthy recipes and grocery shopping tips.
    Gotta get back to "Castle" online. It's a fun and exciting tv show.
