We got our Christmas tree. When they are frozen like this you have to just hope the one you picked out is a good shape!
The first "blizzard" of the season snowed us in for a day & left some beautiful art on our windows.
But that gave me plenty of time to work on some new mittens. I think I might just be getting this colorwork thing down.
On to Menu Planning Monday...
Chicken Saagwala - We never got to this last week so it's been pushed to this week.
Hamburgers & Sweet Potato Fries
Brisket & Roast Sunchokes
Thai Basil Chicken
Pizza with Roast Beet, Brisket & Blue Cheese
Swedish Meatballs - I have some IKEA meatballs in the freezer to finish up so I just make a quick gravy & serve them over egg noodles.

I LOVE those mittens. Will you be selling any?
ReplyDeleteLori - You are the second person to ask me that. Right now they take me so long to make I don't think I'll be putting any on my Etsy store but I will take special orders if people want them.
ReplyDeleteI keep coming back, expecting your tree to have thawed out, lol. Nope, still frozen.
ReplyDeleteThose are some adorable mittens! A friend's going to teach me how to knit or crochet or sew or something like that in the next few weeks because I want to make cool things like that.
ReplyDeleteI love that snowflake window photo....it's so perfectly winter, though I am not wishing for it anytime soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to your brisket and sunchokes!
ReplyDeleteWould a plain mitten take as long? Is it the color mix that takes longer? I am just curious. I am hoping to start knitting classes soon. Mittens are hard to find. I way prefer them over gloves.
ReplyDeleteLori - A plain mitten would definitely take less time since you don't have to concentrate on a pattern. The nice thing about this two color version is how thick it is because the yarn gets doubled.
ReplyDeleteThe mitts look great! I know what you mean about selling that kind of stuff -- how do you put a value to all of the hours that go into making it? Love the preserve gifts too -- so clever.
