Weekly Menu 1/30 - 2/3/12

We played around with drinks again this weekend. This time it was cocktails. I had some blueberry drink concentrate from Ikea in the fridge that I bought with cocktails in mind. It's like a very thick, very blue , blueberry simple syrup.
Cocktail Night
First I tried two parts vodka, two parts blueberry, one part st. germain and 2 parts club soda. This was good, but the st. germain really overpowered everything else.
Cocktail Night
Then we tried muddling about 1/2 cup pineapple, added 3 parts vodka, 2 parts blueberry and 2 parts club soda. This one was the favorite. The pineapple and blueberry were great together.

I also tried a final version that was blueberry and homemade lemoncello I made 2 1/2 years ago. It was good, but very, very lemony!

On to Menu Planning Monday...

Chicken and Beef Phyllo Rolls

Something with the Puff Pastry in my freezer, but I don't know what yet.

  1. Fun times! We love the flavor of St. Germain but it is definitely overpowering.
