We couldn't have asked for a prettier weekend so we headed up the North Shore to the Split Rock Lighthouse which is celebrating its 100th Anniversary.
This time of year really makes us appreciate the beauty of living here in Minnesota.
On to Menu Planning Monday...
Sausage & Pepper - using the last of the peppers from the garden
Roast Chicken with Carnival Squash
Smoked Salmon Chowder - Inspired by our trip to Seattle this past summer
Fig & Camembert Tart
Pork Chile Verde
Chicken Curry

Great picture of you two! It is the most beautiful time of year!
The chicken curry sounds fab! I will have to give it a whirl soon.
Stop by and see me sometime over at Free 2 Be Frugal.
It sounds like it was the perfect weekend to go up North. We are heading up over Thanksgiving. That's a great picture of the both of you. So nice to see there were no heavy coats in the picture!
While I have only found your blog several months ago, I don't recall ever seeing a photo of you. It is funny-I had you pictured with long, dark wavy hair.....
We love to visit Split Rock, but haven't had time to go the last two years. Maybe when we go up around Thanksgiving to visit our daughter at college, we can an afternoon trip over there.
Wow, great pictures! Looking forward to your food this week as always!
That is such a great picture of you two! Both you and the scenery. Sounds like a fun weekend!
What a nice photo of you two. And great background as well.
