Weekly Menu - 9/1 -9/6/08

I can't believe its September already. This summer has just flown by. Some of our leaves are starting to turn colors & we are beginning to winterize the house. We know living in Minnesota winter will come a lot quicker than we think. At least winter means lots of yummy soups & stews in front of the fireplace.
#236 - EAT

On to Menu Planning Monday...

Citrus Chile Pork Tenderloin with creamed cipollini onions & radish greens - RESULT - The best pork tenderloin Matt has done on the grill yet.

Southwestern Grilled Chicken Salad

Grown-up Mac & Cheese - Its going to drop into the 60's this week so I can start making this favorite again.

Barbecued Beef Brisket with Zucchini Gratin

Pizza with Blue Cheese, Fontina, Caramelized Onions & either peaches or pears

This week's cupcake will be chocolate zucchini with cream cheese frosting (I have a lot of zucchini to get through).

We'll also be making Watermelon & Basil Sorbet & my grandmother's Refrigerator Pickles this week.

everything looks awesome. I planned my menu a few weeks ago thinking it might still be warm come to find out we will have some 60 days also. Maybe I will change it up a little bit!

everything sounds great. I have grown up mac on my to do list this month also

60 degrees, huh? This is the time of year when we Phoenicians get our revenge! The grown-up mac & cheese sounds great, by the way - may need to give that a try when it finally cools off here.

The mac & cheese and pizza both sound fantastic. I'm also thrilled that the weather is finally cooling off somewhat so I can start cooking some of our favorite meals that are just not right for summer.

Wow...I don't envy the upcoming winter...but the fireplace sounds lovely. :) Great menu plan, btw.
